Well, Buhari's wife subtly clapped back at the First Lady during a women's rally in Edo State today.

Boko Haram members kill their wives as they escape from Bama

Many of the Internally Displaced Persons who fled to Maiduguri after the town of Bama was recaptured from Boko Haram members last week have recounted how the sect members killed their wives before they escaped the town.

According to what they said, the militants decided to kill their wives after getting word that troops were advancing to recapture Bama, because they didn't want the women to remarry 'unbelievers'

According to one of the IDP's, 39 year old mother of three Sharifatu Bakura, the sect members said they would rather kill their wives than let them marry "unbelievers" and miss them reuniting in "Heaven".

"I don't have any budget attached to my office, come and probe me' - Patience Jonathan

First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan says she is ready to be probed following accusations from some quarters that her office is funded from the federal budget. She said this while speaking at the PDP Women rally in Edo state yesterday March 14th.
"Mrs. Jonathan is the first lady of this country. There is no budget, no constitutional rights. So if from tomorrow you hear Mrs. Jonathan is corrupt, am I holding your money? Are you giving me any budget ? I don’t have any budget attached to my office. Go and probe my office. Go and probe me and see whether there is any budget attached to my office. Go and probe and see whether there is any money they send to my office. I don’t touch your money. Whatever I have, I struggled for it. I worked for it. I suffered for it,” she said.

Remember 1986? How Jonathan saved Nigeria from its imminent worst disaster

Sponsored post.
August 21, 1986. 1,700 people and 3,000 herds of cattle and other livestock died after the eruption of a volcanic Lake Nyos in Cameroon. The Lake represents the biggest ecological (flood) threat to Nigeria. This disaster, if allowed to occur, will destroy several states in Nigeria especially Taraba, Benue, Cross River, Kogi and Delta and it is imminent. (Think about Haiti for 1 Minute, that’s a real Disaster there!) What did Jonathan do?
Yes it his Job (Hian)! Were there not many other governments and Presidents in this Country that did nothing about it? But no, he would not wickedly, or like the others before him ignore the future’s ugly reality. President Jonathan gave competent Female Minister Mrs. Sarah Ochekpe the go-ahead and approved 100% funding of $1bn for one of the country’s most ambitious Projects; the Kashimbilla Multipurpose Buffer Dam Project which will not just prevent the devastating flood but harness its potentials to become a Major Source of Life.
The Dam presently at over 90% completion will now serve to ensure;
Water Supply (60,000 Cu.m/Day), Irrigation (Net – 2,000Ha) and provide Electricity - Hydropower generation: (40MW)
The Scope of the Project covers: Construction of the Main Dam; Construction of Water Treatment Plant; Construction of an Access Road; Construction of an Hydropower Plant; Development of Irrigation Network; Construction of Air Strip and Rehabilitation of Kashimbilla - Jato-Aka road (21km). President Jonathan bows down to traditionalists for Prayers

President Goodluck Jonathan is really interested in the votes from the South-West and it seems he is ready to go to any length to get the votes, including visiting pastors, groups, and now traditionalists for endorsements and prayers.

But the APC said Jonathan is just wasting his time as the Yoruba's cannot be deceived:

"For such a President (Jonathan) to now crawl about in Yorubaland, seeking their votes to continue in office is nothing short of insulting the intelligence of the Yoruba people. That is aggravated insolence.

“Jonathan will pay a price equal in magnitude to his deliberate crime against the Yoruba nation; for nobody pokes a dirty finger in the eyes of the Yoruba people and gets away with it. Jonathan will get the red card in Yorubaland, and he will fall.

“The party said that since Jonathan became comfortable in his position as President – largely through the efforts of Yoruba intellectuals and political leadership – the President has been so negatively disposed to Yoruba that his Federal Government did practically nothing of significance to encourage the sympathy of the Yoruba nation.

“It is therefore a wasted effort for the President to be frantically seeking the support of Yoruba traditional leaders who already know how bitter their people are against Jonathan,’ the APC said, adding that ‘Yoruba people can see, feel and taste the deceit in President Jonathan’s promises. They cannot trust him after the humiliating treatment of the last six years of Jonathan’s Presidency."
